Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Updated: Apr 1, 2020

I will never buy store-bought Peanut Butter Cups again. Ever. These were so easy to make and getting the ingredients prepped and ready to go required minimal effort as well!

On top of that, these Peanut Butter Cups are literally made of mainly dark chocolate and peanut butter, so they feel pretty healthy as well.

To make a double broiler, take a small pot and add about 2 inches of water inside of it and be sure to put the heat on a slow simmer. Take a ceramic bowl and make sure it fully covers the pot. You can add the chocolate in once you hear a soft boil and just watch it melt away.

Here, the coconut oil will help solidify the chocolate for when it goes in the refrigerator. In a separate bowl, the peanut butter gets mixed with the honey for some sweet.

Take cupcake molds and add about 1.5 tbsp of the melted chocolate into the cups. Take 1 tbsp of the peanut butter and place in the center, spreading out a little bit to the edges without quite touching them. Add 1.5 tbsp dark chocolate on top and spread out so you have a smooth, even layer. That's it - that's how easy they are! It probably took longer for me to write this article!
